Kateeva President & COO to Deliver Keynote Address at the Silicon Innovation Forum at SEMICON West 2016

NEWARK, Calif., July 6, 2016—Kateeva today said that President and COO, Conor Madigan, Ph.D., will deliver the keynote address at the Silicon Innovation Forum (SIF) on Tuesday, July 12 in San Francisco. The talk will focus on technology that’s enabling today’s OLED revolution.

Now in its fourth year, the SIF is hosted by industry trade association, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI). The two-day event is held in conjunction with SEMICON West at the Moscone Convention Center. It gathers business leaders and technologists working at the intersection of silicon, display and materials science innovation, and the capital equipment ingenuity that makes commercialization possible.

The keynote takes place from 10:35-11:15am at the Innovation & IoT Theater.

In his talk, Dr. Madigan will explain why Kateeva’s novel inkjet printing manufacturing equipment solution was adopted by display industry leaders to mass-produce Thin Film Encapsulation (TFE), an essential process step for flexible OLEDs. He’ll re-visit the 8-year journey of scaling Kateeva, from ambitious technology idea in a lab at MIT, to commercializing what’s now a process tool of record at the heart of a display technology revolution. Finally, he’ll share key touch-points that at times challenged Kateeva but also powered successes since he co-founded the company in 2008.

On the same day, Dr. Madigan will also join the SIF Investor Panel where VCs and entrepreneurs will discuss capital raising for science-based hardware startups. The panel takes place at 3:20-4:15pm, also at the Innovation & IoT Theater.
